Name: Jacob Turner
Age: 21
Location: Arkansas (Hendrix College)

Who am I? I’m just Jacob Turner. I’m a senior Religious Studies/Computer Science student at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. I currently serve as the Website and Analytics Specialist for the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church. At college, I serve as the head of KHDX Radio, our on-campus radio station, the Elections Commissioner for the Hendrix College Student Senate, and as a student worker in Hendrix’s Office of Technology Services.

What’s your life like outside of college? In my free time, I enjoy Doctor Who and Sherlock, film-making, listening to music, and pizza.

What’s this blog like? Posts on my blog focus on either my personal opinions on politics, or on religion and how religious organizations use technology to communicate both internally and externally.

What quotes do you live by? Two quotes, actually, one from a real person and one from a fictional character:

“I am, and always will be, the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes, and the dreamer of improbable dreams.” –The Eleventh Doctor

“Be a nuisance where it counts…Do your part to inform and stimulate the public to join your action. Be depressed, discouraged and disappointed at failure and the disheartening effects of ignorance, greed, corruption and bad politics—but never give up.” –Marjory Stoneman Douglas

This is nice and all, but I want to see something more professional. Alright, that’s fine. Please click here.
